Peace On Earth

For those of you who are interested in a step by step guide on how I created this card, with products used and links to said products, please read on. Alternatively, I have a reel which more or less shows how I created this card over on my Instagram :)
Using Hunkydory's 'Moonstone Dies - Duo-Stitched Nesting Dies - Squares', I die cut a square from Papermill Directs 'Ivory Card Hemp 255gsm' to use as my base layer. I love how the texture of this card stock adds a little something special to the design.
With my Cricut Machine, I cut out 2 slim strips of cardstock, one from white card and one from blue card. I then used the Moonstone dies from step 1 to cut the strips to size, to match the base layer, and to ensure that 'stitch' detail was present on the strips.
Using My Favorite Things 'Peace on Earth' die set, I cut out the bird using the same Ivory Hemp card stock as the base layer in step 1, and white card stock for the rest of the dies (wording and olive branch). I additionally cut out all the images also on white foam sheets so that I could add subtle dimension to the design.
Using the WOW 'Independent Trio' set, WOW embossing pad and WOW dual speed heat tool, I embossed as per the following; Blue cardstock strip with 'Blue Skies (WL81R) which a beautiful solid blue translucent powder, White cardstock strip with 'Wheatfields (WK18R) which is a vibrant opaque/marble yellow powder, and the wording and olive branch with 'United (WS349R) which is a beautiful opaque/marble glitter with hints of blue, yellow and of course glitter.
Once everything was embossed, I used Crafters Companion 'Stick and Spray Mounting Adhesive' to adhere the embossed layers to the foam cut outs. For the strips, I used double sided sticky tape to adhere them to the base card stock, and for the die cuts I used the Stick and Spray adhesive.
*The card and envelope are 5x5 (my favourite to work with!).
